Most, if not all, four hundred-something sound effects from Bust a Groove 2 and Bust a Move 2: Dance Tengoku Mix.

When I first opened up the file in the discs that contained the S.E's, I was a lot intimidated by the fact that it contained a whopping one thousand two hundred fifty six (1256) sounds (not including the music), but after a lot of sifting, I found that most of them were actually duplicates, triplicates, and even quadruplicates of others.

The program I used to play & extract the S.E's, PSound, is sadly underdeveloped (with no plans to update it Sad

), and that didn't help matters because the sounds have different sample rates (in Hz), so it was a real P.I.T.A. to determine the correct rates to prevent voices from sounding like either Barry White or a chipmunk :wow: .

I ripped both the US & Japanese versions, so yes, you'll get both Michael Doi's "Strike a Pose" & FAB-U-LAS (incidentally in separate files), along with everyone's favorite, YO GANGSTA, GET READY TO GANGBANG !!.

Ripping the in-game music is lots easier using the freeware PSX Multi Converter because it plays at correct speed Very Happy

. However, labeling each sound file, sifting through a few duplicates, converting the WAVs to MP3, and then tagging each of them still proves that ripping the sound data is still a P.I.T.A. Incidentally, I could even rip the opening FMV. Perhaps I'll try to upload that onto t3h eSnips folder? EDIT: I already did X-cited + D-lighted

Added the in-game music, or more accurately, the XA streamed audio.

This not only includes the game version stage songs, but this also includes all versions of the menu music with narration by either Marvin "DJ Dangerous" Dangerfield or James "DJ Mix Deadly" Parker--the start menu, character select menu, and "Here Comes a [new and exciting] Challenger" menu themes--even the instrumental version w/o narration; the fever time; the ending theme, "Bust A Groove"; DJ Dangerous saying "Bust a Move 2: Dance Tengoku Mix" and "Bust a Groove 2"; and ALL the Dancing Heroes ending segments. Getting the ending segments, emphasis on "segments", was a real hassle because they were separated into as many as twelve parts :bomb: .

I suppose that will hold us over until one of us manages to record and upload all of the Dancing Heroes episodes :face: .

The Did You Notice FAQ that G-PanGirl17 found was a great asset as to which audio files were what :sweet: .

There were one hundred twenty eight (128) different mp3s here, and like hell I was gonna upload and enable them one at a time holy crap!

. So, I put virtue into laziness and compiled the songs into non-connected RAR files. I separated each compilation typically by character, e.g., an archive for Comet containing her song (both the US and Japanese version plus the ending segments), and so on.

Wow, very nice job! The only problem for me is that the file sizes are way too big. On my slow, crappy internet it would take over 2 hours to download just one song! Mad
