Ok, well my PS2 isn't broke, the controller port is. .__.

Because the controller port tag fell out of the PS2, the first time I connected it, it went fine.

But the 2nd time (stupid me) I tried to connect it while the PS2 power was on, so the PS2 shot out sparks, and I got slightly shocked. Other than that, the PS2 works fine.

So, if I buy a new PS2 controller for PS2, will it still work?

Because I really want to play DDR again, and possibly make a backup of DS2001. ;__;

Anyone else have the special controller for Dance Summit 2001?

I've used it a couple of times, even in games other than DS2001 .

From my understanding, you wrap these handstrips that are then connected via stereoplugs  to the navigation gamepad.

It's kinda harder for me to use in the game, though; a lot of clapping involved .

I beat the game once with Banbi/Bambi/Bun B, and not only did I unlock a new stage/song/team, but I also unlocked the profile of the character I beat the game with .

Anyone here know all the profiles and can translate them all into English??

Anyone here know the story of the game in general? I've read that ...

As some of you may already know, there is a popular belief in Japan that a person's blood type predicts their personality. It's very common it anime, manga, and video games. Since the character profiles are in Japanese, I decided to list their blood types so we would at least have an idea of what they are like. So, here goes!

Type A - Betty, Suzuki, Cindy, Cherry, Miranda, Planet, Micro, Jason, Imawa, Shogun

People with blood type A are said to be very calm and level headed. When they ...

Did anyone notice that went you start the Hanzono stage there's a glass building at the top that says something like "Max", and then it has a "Nick" on something advertisement? I mean is it me or did the makers of DS2001 made a Nickelodeon advertisement..?

Also in the Queen's High School why is there a U.S.A. poster? Also I noticed in 79 Street at the Train station on the right there's a poster of a female, and there's a lot of wrestlers on the Muscle Staduim. ...

Well sorry If I'm repeating a topic.. but why?

Why??

-Would've the songs sounds silly if they were converted in English?

-Not much humor and fun feeling as the old songs?

-No returning characters?

-Not a lot of cameos?

-Whole new gameplay?

-Different story line?

-Not a good spin-off?

-Doesn't give you the same old feeling?

-Not a lot of good moves were copied?

-Not much you could do?

-More weird character design?

WHY???

I mean.. my point of view.. :[

I have some bad news--weird and illogical, but bad nonetheless: I played DS2001 with the SE volume turned all the way down to zero (with the BGM volume still on). Ideally, with this setting, all one would hear would be the music, right?

Not the case . Playing through the game, there are still some sound effects that can be heard clearly throughout the stages , such as the trains rolling through 79th Street and the car crash in the intersection by the mysterious boss-man (or "-woman"?) ...

I was playing with the Data Be Bops one night in practice mode, on Jumbo Max's stage, 79th street. I was doing the remix of their song, Cast a Move. After the song was done, and they showed the results, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I had gotten a 100% just command rate! If you own this game, then you know it's darn near impossible to get a 100% on the just command rate.

Has anyone else gotten a 100?
