| This may be old news to some of you, but I found out a couple days ago that the song "Put Your Faith in Me" from Dance Dance Revolution (2nd Mix?) has the rap part of Pinky's song on BAG1! Listen to the song Here. You'll recognize it when you hear it. So.... what's up with this? |

| I've noticed that "I Know" and "Put Your Faith in Me" shared the rap verse samples for as long as I've heard the DDR track. However, I don't know which one came out first .
I found this in a FAQ when Googling this sampling phenomenon:| Quote: | Q. Why does DDR sample / steal music from other videogames? A. Well... I'm not exactly sure what the deal is, but as you may have noticed the following connections :
Think Ya Better D - Molla (Pump It Up) Put Your Faith In Me - I Know (Bust A Move / But A Groove)
Both sets of songs have the exact same intros as each other.. There are 3 theories on this.. Can anyone clear it up, or suggest some more?
* Konami intentionaly sampled the songs, as a jibe or tribute to the other games, when it ripped off the premise of a dancing game from Bust A Move, and then ripped the entire concept, and it's execution, from Pump It Up
* Apparantly, a few people mention that a bunch of DDR staff members were on the team that produced Pump It Up, and that that maybe the singer of Put Your Faith In Me worked on both games, and allowed the sample of his rapping.
* The raps are just samples of public domain songs, or PD samples.. | Source: http://www.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/562884/13948._________________ Chet Lemon & Black Snow Awesome Show

| I've never actually played DDR before, so that's why I just found out. I've always despised it ever since I first saw it in 2000 while looking for Bust a Groove on Amazon, immediatley calling it a Bust a Groove clone (without ever even playing it or seeing how it played ). I'm guessing it's the second or third theory on there... but I don't know which song came out first, either. I'm leaning more towards "I Know" ALTHOUGH, if the song in DDR has more to the rap it could've come out first, OR the additional rap parts could have been added just for DDR... |

| Bust a Move was released in January 1998, and DDR 2nd Mix was released in January 1999, so Bust a Move sampled it first. Although I'm sure it's just some kind of sample so I doub there's dramz behind it ;p |

| you know, in a little bit of a deviation from the topic, there are parts of kelly's song "Moon Light Party" that i've heard in the beastie boy's song "Hey Laides!" Some of the , "All the laides in the house", and "The Laides, the Laides" |
