Smiley Update as of 02 August 2008
Sat Aug 02, 2008 4:35 am by Spin New Yasha
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE X-cited + D-lighted : Read more for more info.

As you may have already noticed, ShortyMyLove already put up a new emote in Smilies 1:

: facepalm : = D'oh : for When you said someth something something I don't know what the rest reads??

Since this is a forum centered on a game franchise for the PlayStation, I decided to put some emotes related to the console, all listed under SNY's Smileys along with X-cited + D-lighted , DisgustedeXasperated , and :dgenerationx: :

: ecks : = PSX Button X : The "ecks" / X / cross button (formerly )
: circle : = PSX Button O : The O / circle button (formerly )
: triangle : = PSX Button Triangle : The triangle button (formerly )
: square : = PSX Button Square : The square button (formerly )

Hopefully this will make it easier to type button commands on t3h forum X-cited + D-lighted .

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE X-cited + D-lighted :

The PSX buttons have been replaced with the commands shown on Bust a Groove 2--taken from actual emulator screenshots of the game. To compare the recent edits of the icons to what I originally had put up, see the formerly entries above.

New additions the smiley list as of 02 August 2008:

: left : = Left Button US/C The Left button command on the directional pad.
: up : = Up Button US/C The up button command on the directional pad.
: down : = Down Button US/C The down button command on the directional pad.
: right : = Right Button US/C The right button command on the directional pad.

As you may have noticed, these icons are color-coded to match the relative position of the symbol buttons ( Down Button US/C is blue, the same as PSX Button X -- the lowest button on the symbol side of the pad, Left Button US/C is pink, the same as PSX Button Square -- the leftmost button, etc.). This change was done in the US/C version of Bust a Groove 2.

For the sake of completeness, I have also included the Japanese Dance Tengoku Mix version of the commands, which are all yellow/golden:

: leftj : = Left Button Japan
: upj : = Up Button Japan
: downj : = Down Button Japan
: rightj : = Right Button Japan
