I made a video of me playing SingStar (Foreigner - I Want to Know What Love Is).

As soon as I uploaded it, BAM! I get hit with a copyright claim from the notorious W.M.G. and the audio gets disabled.

Having gone through a suspension from previous copyright B.S. and knowing that NetCasty the youtube SingStar dude got his old accounts deleted because of it, I took no chances and deleted the video immediately.

Here the kickers:

(1) I didn't even title or tag the video, yet somehow the copywrite-nazis knew what song was playing just from the acronym "IWKWLI" from the original filename.

(2) It was actually me singing the song, not the original artist, Foreigner. I mean, c'mon. How else would you play SingStar??

I think it's some kind of filter that scans the soundwaves of the file to determine if it matches one of their copyrighted material.

I'll probably need some way of bypassing said filter somehow some way scratch .

UPDATE: The audio was restored because my dispute was resolved X-cited + D-lighted .

I always found it funny that Youtube would disable the audio, but still keep the video up.
